Flat Roof Repairs in Offaly
GRP, EPDM & Felt Leak Fixes
Flat roofs are uniquely vulnerable to standing water, weather exposure, and structural movement. When water pools on a flat surface or membrane seams split, moisture quickly penetrates sub-boards, compromising ceiling insulation and causing interior water damage.
At Roof Craft, we provide specialized flat roof repairs across County Offaly, fixing everything from blistered felt and split rubber membranes to ponding water and faulty perimeter flashing.
Backed by over 15 years of local roofing experience, our team diagnoses the exact failure point of your flat roof system. We don't just slather temporary bitumen mastic over cracks—we deliver engineered, watertight repairs that restore structural integrity and stand up to heavy Irish weather.
Complete Flat Roofing Services in County Offaly
We repair and maintain all modern and traditional flat roofing systems found on domestic extensions, garages, dormers, and commercial units across the Midlands.
GRP Fiberglass Crack & Seam Repairs
Fiberglass roofs are exceptionally durable, but building expansion or poor original installation can cause hairline cracks, stress splits, or delamination along edge trims. We grind out damaged fiberglass resin, re-lay heavy-duty glass fiber matting, and apply a fresh UV-resistant topcoat layer for a seamless, factory-finish repair.
EPDM Rubber Membrane Patching
EPDM rubber roofs can suffer punctures from falling branches, foot traffic, or degraded adhesive along perimeter seams. We clean and prepare damaged areas, applying cold-applied vulcanized EPDM patches and industrial lap sealants that permanently bond to the existing membrane without heat.
Torch-On Bitumen Felt Repairs
Older multi-layer felt roofs often develop blisters, surface cracking, or open lap joints due to UV radiation and age. We cut open trapped air or moisture blisters, re-seal underlying felt layers, and torch-apply heavy-duty elastomeric cap sheets to restore total weather-tight protection.
Ponding Water & Drainage Fall Corrections
Standing water that remains on a flat roof 48 hours after rain accelerates membrane breakdown. We repair sagged timber decking underneath, install firring strips or furring timber to restore proper drainage pitch, and fit high-capacity outlet spouts to direct rainwater safely into gutters.
Parapet Wall & Upstand Leadwork Fixes
Where a flat roof joins a brick house wall or parapet, lead counter-flashing prevents water from creeping behind the membrane. We repair lifted upstands, repoint mortar channels, and replace split lead flashing to secure these high-risk wall junctions.

Frequently Asked Questions About Flat Roof Repairs
How do I know if my flat roof can be repaired or needs a complete replacement?
If the underlying timber deck is solid and the damage is localized to a split seam, puncture, or cracked section, a professional repair is fast and cost-effective. However, if the timber structure underneath has rotted or the membrane has reached the end of its useful lifespan across the entire surface, we will explain why a full replacement is the safer, long-term choice.
What causes ponding water on a flat roof, and how do you fix it?
Ponding occurs when a flat roof lacks sufficient slope (fall) toward the gutters or when timber joists sag over time under weight. We fix this by installing tapered firring strips beneath the roof deck to recreate a subtle drainage angle, allowing water to flow naturally toward your downpipes.
Can you repair a leaking flat roof in wet weather?
Yes. In emergency situations during heavy rain, we can apply high-performance emergency waterproof sealants or temporary protective sheeting to stop active internal leaks immediately. Once conditions dry out, we return to perform a permanent, guaranteed structural repair.
Are your flat roof repairs backed by a guarantee?
Absolutely. All major structural flat roof repairs, membrane overlays, and timber deck replacements carried out by Roof Craft come backed by our direct 12-year written guarantee for complete peace of mind.

Internal Ceiling Damp: Water rings, yellow discoloration, or active dripping inside dormers, extensions, or garages.
Blistering or Bubbling: Raised bumps on felt or rubber membranes indicating trapped air or moisture underneath.
Flaking or Cracked Topcoat: Visible cracking, flaking paint, or exposed matting on GRP fiberglass roofs.
Separating Seams: Open gaps or lifting edges where membrane sheets overlap or meet wall flashings.
